Technology moved us from horse carriages to driver less cars
In 1898, there was a discussion on “Great Horse Manure Crisis” at the International Urban Planning Conference in New York. There seems to be no solution to the problem, and all members were focusing on the road cleanliness and how to get rid of the manure. A gentleman focused on the real problem, i.e. horses and thought of removing them altogether from the transportation system. That paved the way for automation in the form of vehicles, which have evolved into the modern transportation system. This example shows how technology has improved the means of achieving the same basic purpose of transportation.
